I have been comparing deep summer with soft winter for a few evenings in ordinary daylight. online palettes seem simple yet real fabrics make them blur together. i kept the light constant before judging any of the fabrics. i also left out makeup jewellery and patterned clothing for the test. some deep colours added clarity while others made the overall effect feel severe. dustier cool colours looked harmonious although preference can easily distort a test. rather than naming a season first i noted contrast texture and eye clarity. a simple color analysis could give me another way to compare those observations before i label anything. this is not meant to substitute for a professional assessment. how have you checked whether depth or softness is doing more of the work? experiences with ordinary indoor daylight would help me most. for now i would rather improve the comparison than choose a category too quickly. i plan to revisit the fabrics before making any lasting colour decisions. thanks for sharing what made your own comparison clearer.
